Bella Tours & Travel started in 2003 as a home based business until 2009 when we moved to our current location in the Village Mall in Liverpool. Bella has grown from creating tours for schools, churches, senior citizens and corporate groups to opening a retail “open tour” division in 2012 that has grown very quickly offering 40+ tours each year to the public to hop on and enjoy.
Bella has also implemented emergency procedures and verses all of their tour managers with such procedures. With the current world climate, we need to be prepared and assure our customers that their safety is our #1 priority.
Bella prides itself on great customer service and taking care of their clients. We are a bus family. If it is important to our clients, it is important to us. It is our pleasure to take good care of our clients so they have a great, no worry travel experience with Bella. We have seven tour managers that include former teachers, teaching assistants and a nurse.
We do business across the states of New York, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.
The mission of Bella Tours & Travel Inc., is to provide all group travelers an enjoyable and memorable traveling experience while ensuring safety and preserving quality. We are open to people of all ages and we welcome this diversity. We are committed to satisfying our customers’ needs and expectations and it’s our pledge to meet and fulfill these needs.
We personally make sure all hotels are clean and comfortable, and all restaurants and activities meet top standards for our clients. We provide customized tours to any location in the domestic United States or Canada for a variety of organizations and groups.
It is important for us to give back to the community by promoting local businesses and staying actively involved. We participate in several different sponsorships every year, and assist other organizations with fund-raising efforts and charity donations. This is our way of showing our support and appreciation for all our local clients and their businesses.
Meet Our Owner
Lori Cavelli is a lifelong resident of the Syracuse area and raised her family there as well. Along with traveling on some of the tours, she even gets to spend time with her 3 successful children and 3 beautiful grandchildren, who live outside of the Syracuse area.
Lori has over 20 years of tour experience and creates each trip itinerary to all destinations personally, for all of her clients at schools, churches, senior citizen groups and on Bella’s “Open Tours”. She, along with her team of tour managers pride themselves on giving exceptional service to all clients and feels it is of the utmost importance to meet their needs and expectations. “They are the ones traveling. I want to make sure they get a quality tour for a great price. I believe while they are on tour, they deserve to be pampered and most importantly feel safe.” Because of her philosophy, Bella Tours has grown, and as she refers to it, her “bus family” has grown too! She and her staff truly care about each and every one that travel with her company. “I believe in order to be successful, you have to earn your customers every time and never take that for granted”. She credits her parents, especially her dad, for instilling in her the importance of being kind, considerate, hard-working and making people feel they are important to you, not just for business but because it shows the true person you are and it is the right thing to do. Lori looks forward to the future with her company, meeting new travelers and continuing the many friendships with her travelers she has made along the way!
Meet Our Tour Managers
Arlene Laut is new to Bella Tours & Travel, Inc, but she is not new to managing tours. She spent 37 years as a special education and Holocaust educator at Hannibal High School. Her mantra is, ‘choose to be kind.’ She also led Hannibal to have annual anti-bullying presentations. She gained experience in travel by managing and planning student tours to NYC, Chicago and Europe. She also managed day trips to Genesee Country Village and other local popular tourist spots for Hannibal students. She recently began her Bella travels with the annual NYC trip! She is excited to escort trips for adults and students. She can’t wait to meet all of you on her next trip!
Kathy retired from the Syracuse City School District as an educator. Kathy enjoys traveling, being with family, especially her grandchildren and new great-grandson. She also enjoys spending time with her two beautiful nieces. She loves to bake Greek specialties, enjoys reading and working at Bella Tours.
Ellie’s caring nature and love of people are a perfect fit for a fun time on the Bella Tours she manages. Her Maine dairy farm background, many years conducting 4-H and adult programs for Cornell Cooperative Extension, teaching career education at CNS High School and serving as an airport sales agent for Continental have prepared her for providing first class customer service to our travelers. A proud parent of two successful daughters, their hubbies and two granddaughters in PA and CA, Ellie loves to travel, whether it’s on a one day or multi-day tour. Her biggest fan is her 99 year old dad, who welcomes her home to Maine in the summer and Florida in the winter. She plays a mean game of USTA 3.0 doubles tennis when not traveling. There’ll never be a dull moment on one of Ellie’s tours.
Nancy is a retired LPN in Pediatrics for 12 years and Pediatric Cardiology for 20 years. She has worked for many touring companies for over 18 years finally finding her home with us in 2017. She loves touring and meeting new people, showing them our beautiful country, it’s history and so many interesting and unique attractions. Her specialty is Student Tours. She loves showing and telling them about their country and so much of it’s history. Watching their faces and responses to the many educational places we go to. It is so much fun and energizing to be with the students, seeing their reactions and answering their many questions. The adults that love to travel are great to see. They want to experience so much, do so many things, that they couldn’t or wouldn’t drive to themselves. On the coach, they can kick back, enjoy the ride and receive information about the places we visit. Going with a group is so much fun that we become a traveling family and meet new friends.
